I have TOYOGUARD protection on the car (HAVE to buy in south florida).

When I was checking air the weekend, I noticed one of the tire (rear passenger) is low comapred to others and noticed that the tire picked up a tiny nail or screw (may be 1/16 inch) and so leaking air.

Does the patch repair is covered under tire warranty. ALso since I have TOYOGUARD, does it cover the tire repair?

    TIA

Toyoguard, unless your contract is different, has nothing to do with tires at all, and is a 'paint protection' film that is sprayed on your car for several hundred dollars, plus a few other things which serve to only guard their profits.

Every day I learn about another scam the dealer sells with the car.

    1) Extended Warranty
    2) Pre paid maintenance
    3) Toyotaguard to protect your paint (new to me)

I bet if you add GAP insurance, life insurance on the car loan, rust proofing, scotch guard inside and outside you can spend more money on add-ons then the car cost.

There is no warranty on OEM tires.

There is the tire manufacturer's warranty covering defects....

No warranty for road hazards, though.

The "TOYOGUARD protection plus group" I (must) have has a entry called "Roadside assistance". I am not sure if they even respond in case I need assistance. I plan to ask the dealer what is this TOYOGUARD having forced to buy.

Thanks all. I guess I will head to a tire repair shop $25 repair

I had Toyoguard on a past Toyota I owned. It amounted to a polymer wax applied to the car with repeats at 6-12 mo. intervals for 2 years of something like that. It was an additional cost of around $200 and I noticed no difference in how the paint looked or wore with it, a complete rip-off IMO. Some dealers say they do it routinely on all the cars in their inventory and thus you have no choice but to have it, I say either don't put it on my car or take off the price of it or I won't buy from you, to the dealer.

I don't know how far south in FL you are, but if you have a Discount Tire near you, they will repair it for free. Or if they can't repair it, they will give you a "spare" tire of the same size to replace it. They do this goodwill repair for free so you remember them when you have to buy your next set. Good people.

I've gotten nails, and other things, include a "tap", from a tap and dye set, in my tires, on various cars. If you can't find a place to fix it for free, about any mechanic will patch a tire for about $10 - $20. A proper patch involves removing the tire from the wheel, gluing on a patch, remounting, inflating and re-balancing the tire...

    Good luck.

Oh, well, I got repaired at tire *dom*dom.

I was quoted $30 saying it has TPMS and need to be reset/replaced etc. Once repaired for patch I have noticed they did not do anything to TPMS and said the same to person at counter. They deducted 10 from charge so 20+tax. seems to hold air well.

I am surprised 195/55x17 yokohama new tire is not cheap either.
