Oh, and heavy rubber. almost color matching Kraco floor mats from Costco ($ 20.00 the set of 4!) About 1,800 miles to date. Best trip, 51.2. Worst, 39.6. Last car: Sweet old '91 Mecedes 300E. End of an era. Time to move on, save fuel, clean up the universe and Stealth my way through those underground parking lots!

Bryan Foust Paradise, TX - an hour northwest of DFW airport and DFW metromess along HWY 114 for the locals. I picked up the last 2003 Prius in a 5 state area after giving the 04 a thorough going over with the intention to order one. The reason for the switch is that I do carry passengers, and have a requirement that the car be able to fit a passenger behind my seat. The 04 rear seat headroom is SO badly inadequate, that I had to sit hunched forward and with my head cocked to one side to fit. I am six feet tall, and a good many of my friends are of similar height. Purchase date was 11/19/03, and I have a little over 2300 miles on the odometer. So far my worst tank of fuel was 48 mpg by the computer. As I'm still getting used to the quirks of that fuel tank bladder, my calculated numbers are not yet accurate. My best tank was 51.5 by the computer, and the best ever observed during a drive was 89.4 mpg, shortly after a fillup. I traded in three vehicles for this one, they were: 1984 Mercedes Eurospec 240D 2000 Daewoo Lanos SX sedan 2003 Saturn VUE AWD. The VUE triggered the trades after it began to have its seventh failure in 14 months. The rest served to partially overcome negative equity, and were not given up happily. My promised cruise control was finally installed yesterday!! The only other "option" beyond the normal BS that the dealers put on to pack profit was a CD player. It goes on it's first road trip after I get off of work on the 15th. Here's to 250,000 miles of hopefully trouble free ownership.
I'm 5'9", my wife is 5'6". We have 2 dogs which will ride in the Prius (if we ever get it - ordered Salsa Red on Oct. 28). We're from Pittsburgh, PA. Vehicle traded: '99 Saturn SW-1 "money pit" Other vehicles have: '97 Saturn SL-1 '02 Saturn VUE V-6 AWD which is used to tow... '02 Aliner A-Frame Pop-up I'm disappointed that I'm starting to hear bad things about the VUE. Maybe the ad is right, "I should have boughta Honda (or a Toyota)". Bruce Webster
2 2004 PRIUS COUPLE We live in Franklin, Louisiana and got our 2004 Silver Millenium in November 2003. The dealer is selling us his PRIUS Driftwood Pearl as soon as TOYOTA allows it to happen and we will be a 2 PRIUS family. We love everything about it. Hope this means a 4,000 income tax deduction. Do any of you know the answer to that? k
Well, Greev4ever, my neighbours have a VUE, and my folks own three of them. They are all happy, so hopefully mine was just a fluke. Irregardless, I'll never be setting foot in another GM car lot again. Aprill's Toy. That tax deduction is nothing more than an income adjustment. Based on my loose estimates on the '03 tax tables, I'll likely be only seeing a $500 - $700 difference in my tax return. Ya gotta love the wording of the government and how they can make a great sounding thing actually be alot less.
