Giant Sinkhole Opens Up in Guatemala

I saw this yesterday and almost thought it was a fake! I wonder how deep it is?

 

The city seems prone to them. A large one three years ago was about 100 meters deep.

Wikipedia indicates that that old one and this new one are not far apart.

 

Except this time nobody is thought to have died. Back in 2007 when the other large one occured I think 2 kids died.

While we're all here, 7 other amazing holes in the earth.

 

Looks like the Silver Surfer has found us!

 

You can actually use google maps and find their locations. They are less than a mile apart. Open Google maps, then type 'guatemala sinkhole'. Both locations will come up.

 

This is one scary sink hole. I looks like you would come out in China somewhere.

 

For a minute I thought that was at the US Treasury building.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch, or a government bailout.

 

Nah it's the start of a black hole caused by the large hadron collider!

 

I KNEW IT! I told them, "Hadron's = Bad" but no they wouldn't listen Now we're DOOMED! DOOMED I tell you!
