I am headed to Hershey Park tomorrow it will be the first trip with the car over 100 miles as I have had it for 2600 miles little over a month. I am taking my two teenage daughters with me. One of my suppliers is having a Vendor show and we got free hotel and park passes.

Tomorrow weather is not supposed to be good as rain is in the forecast for most of day. I plan on leaving Long Island around 10:30 stopping at office for a few minutes and off we go.

Coming back Thur afternoon as kids have finals on Friday.

I figure it around 4 hours and 225 miles according to Mapquest.

I have made this trip for the last few years in my Nissan Xterra and always stopped to pickup fireworks in PA. Not this year as I dont want to be stopped with the kids in the car and works.:angry:

Will let you know how the trip goes. It should be a great couple of days.

Good luck with that trip. Went to the park last week and down to hershey hospital for surgery on monday. great gas mileage for me both ways ~120 miles one way not as steep of hills as I have where I live north of hershey.

You wouldn't want to put explosive devices in a car with your children in it, would you?

I did not get any fireworks as with the kids in the car I didnt feel comfortable doing it. If i was alone that would have been another story.

Going there rain all the way averaged 48.9 on computer for the 235 miles drive No issues at all going up and down mountains kept it normal except for a few times passing which I used power mode.

Coming home on a beautiful day did a lot of pulse and glide on ECO and the computer averaged 54.3 WOW probably would gotten higher but I ran between 70-75 most of the trip with The AC on and a cabin tempeture of 71 .So the whole trip by car was $41.75 round trip.

I really enjoyed ride with the car. Next will see how the winters in Long Island handle it

Cant wait for the next trip:cheer2:
