    Certainly, you can't drive the equivalent of Boston, Massachusetts to Portland, Oregon entirely downhill. So I have to wonder where this picture came from and how it was done.

    Looks like a GIMP job to me. If you look closely you can see that the 30 is copied and moved over to the left and the 0 copied to the right. It was originally 301 and made to be 3001. Same thing for the 99.9MPG. I'm guessing it was xx.9 or x9.x and the 9 was copied over. You can tell because the numbers are about a pixel off where they should be.

    ...because I wanted to see what kind of responses it would get. When I first saw it, I was "WOW" and then "no one's going to believe this.

    So I wanted to post it with little-to-no introduction to see if some people try to guess how it was done in real life or to see if people would take the PhotoChop angle. In other words, whether people would say, "I've never done that but here's how I think it was done" or whether they would say "I've never done that and therefore it's not possible."

    Gone are the days you could hook your drill up to the speedo cable and run the odometer back a few thousand miles. Or show your friends how your motorcycle can do 120 in the basement. Not that I've ever done that, of course. :D
