Has anyone had the 6 disc CD changer installed? If so, how did it go? I was going to have one installed (dealer, of course). I was able to view the installation instructions prior and found them to be nine pages long and required nearly total disassembly of the dash. I chose not do have the changer installed.

I've had to take my dash apart twice, to replace the MFD. Requires a screwdriver, and most of it pops out by hand. Instructions are here:

    Prius MFD Touchscreen Repair

A reasonably smart chimp could do it. My second time, it took me about 20 minutes, and your dashboard is exploded all over your car, but then it goes back together in about 10 minutes.

Steve was a breeze to work with, square deal, straight shooter, non-nonsense, took me for my word when I said the MFD he sent me didn't work and then he backed up his warranty without hesitation, and with free shipping.

And look, a factory CD player for you for $70. Scroll down.

04 and newer Prius Parts Cars

    Good luck.

Yeah, I've had both mine (06) and my wife's (05) appart to install XM (me) and Sirius (her). It's really easy. Just put down something on the floor where you put stuff and be careful not to scratch things.

It's amazing to me how much of it just snaps together...
