Leased one this week. I have no idea if I got a good deal, I should have done more homework to be honest.

2010 Prius II (12k miles, 36 month lease)
$239 a month plus tax (9.750 %), gap, and an added third year of full maintenance. $290 total.

I put down one month payment plus $650 acquisition fee, $250 down and had bluetooth added for free.

I just paid cash for a new IV w/o Nav, only extra was 5 floor mats, no extended warranty, and no trade. My searches showed only 2 of these were available within a couple hundred miles.

Dealer charges are below (doesn't include title, tax, registration)

    Vehicle Base $25,100
    Documents Fee 299
    Total $25,399

Invoice (asked for it after sale completion) was $25,762. Invoice also states that the dealer is entitled to a $524 reserve and $262 wholesale finance reserve.

Negotiations were over the phone and email. Dealer interactions varied greatly, but I choose the most professional and honest dealer who gave me a good price. I was pleasantly surprised by the laid back buying experience.

I feel I got a fair price from a dealer I'm happy to return to.

    How did I do?:cheer2:

Just leased a Black Prius IV with dark gray interior from Santa Monica Toyota. Navigation, mats, gap insurance, 2 year maintenance.

$780 drive offs (includes first month's payment)
    $300/month + tax for 12K miles/year
0.00016 money factor and residual at $18,713

I think it was a pretty good deal!

After going back and forth with about 4 dealerships online, I went in and they asked the magic question. What price would it take for you to go home with the car today?
I told them $29,300 and stuck to it. I already had an offer over the internet for $29,500 so if they wanted to sell the car, this was the price I was willing to pay. It is always very helpful for you to have done your research and have printouts of the other offers w/msrp.
    I purchased mine on 5/11/10

    $32,186 Msrp
    $29,300 paid
    2010 Blizzard Pearl

    Solar Moonroof and Navi

Spent the afternoon at the dealer today and ended up with a great deal (I think). It wasn't exactly what I wanted (III, Navi, Grey int) but for what I paid, it was damn worth it. I ended up with a III Solar roof package, and Bisque interior. I'm not too thrilled on the interior since it seems like it gets dirty really easy but now that I've driven home, its starting to grow on me.

    MSRP: $28851
Paid: 26000 + tax and licenses
    2010 Prius III
Solar Roof + Navi, Premium accessories package
    0% APR for 36 months

Hey all, we have what is supposedly the "best price" from the dealer, and I'd love some opinions as to whether or not this is a good price. Keep in mind this is in quebec, canada.

    Base model PRIUS, winter grey
    Additional Accessories:
    - Bluetooth
    - Bumper protector
    - all weather mats

    MSRP (inc. accessories): $28, 280

Price of car that we are paying inc. all accessories: $26,600

Plus we are getting an after-tax rebate of $3000, making the final price we pay including taxes and all fees $29, 410. Is this a good deal?

FYI we will also get a tax credit for the Quebec sales tax of $2000 which is not accounted for in the above price.

ETA: dealer came down a bit. final price paid $29259.68 including all taxes/fees & tinting which is as above but also with 2 free oil changes

Total MSRP was $30,388 on my 2010 Prius IV with Navigation, JBL system, custom striping, window tinting, rear bumper protection and premium mats. It cost me $27,946 plus $1486 in taxes and transfer fees for a total cost of $29,432.

HI! We're looking at getting a 2010 Prius II & several dealerships in the greater Seattle are quoting $2280 + tax, license, etc. That seems a bit too high to me based on what I've read on here. Thoughts on the price?

    Thanks in advance.

We were kind of pushed to put down $500 for a III without any package, with window tint, floor mats and some paint protection thingy for $25,500 (tax and documentation fees and so on included). Then I was directed here by Google when I tried to figure out what kind of deal I got. Reading back some 10 pages left me the impression that we over paid, what do you guys think?

Welcome to PriusChat! You will find many other very useful info here in addition to pricing. :)

If you were pushed/tricked into a bad deal you can fight to reverse it. Hopefully you paid the $500 with a credit card and if so just call the credit card company to reverse the charge. Good luck! :)

Thank you. We put the 500 down with a debit car, unfortunately. But I kind of hope we won't have to take it back and just proceed with a better offer from the same dealer.

I fully intend to explore more of this forum, it seems packed with good stuff. But price is my biggest concern right now, so I'd appreciate any input on that, too.

Well if you get a lower written quote from another local dealer for the exact same car then you may be able to get the original dealer to match the price. Good luck! :)
