    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any problems with their AIC-100i? I installed my unit this morning (thanks hybrideyes for the nice instructions) and everything seems to work..... Except, it doesn't connect to my ipod :( There is no vais screen on my ipod. It only detects the Aux input. I plugged in my ipod into the Aux input to verify it worked (and it does). Did anyone have this problem? Maybe I have a bad box or cable? :( I thought I'd ask people here before I contacted tech support.

    Thanks!

make sure you have the latest firmware for your ipod.

More like the lines of loser error....After a break, I thought I'd plug it in one more time and low and behold it worked!! I guess you should plug the ipod in before you start the car....or let the ipod reset...i do not know :p

Are you sure you're cycling through the modes twice? The first time you get the aux input on the MD changer (it will say Disc 11), and the second time you get the iPod.

Had exactly the same problem this morning when I plugged the Nano into the VAIS for the first time. I had forgotten to do two things:
    1. As hybrideyes says, I hadn't cycled it through the modes twice, and was set to AUX INPUT (Disk 11) instead of the iPod.
    2. Secondly, I'd left it in Simple mode, where the iPod is still in control (for the most part). Hybrideyes explains how to switch between Simple mode and "full VAIS control mode" in the 2nd part of step 9 of his instructions. (Hit the SCAN button 8 times within 2 seconds on the MFD screen.)

Then the VAIS screen pops up on the iPod.
I suspect it will work after that!
