We would like to add HD radio to our 2008 Package 6. I know nothing about what unit to get. I would like to be able to use the MFD and be a clean install.

Any one have any experiences with HD good/bad or can help making a suggestion.

    Thanks in advance!

Be aware that the HD signal has a much shorter range than regular FM. Roughly 1/2 the range of regular FM for a car.

Quite understandable. But we're in a city area & the wife wants her '80s music back. HD seems to fit the bill without having to pay for a subscription.

I know a FM DJ who used to live in Hales Corners... I used to drive up from Madson, and have great times at concerts! Rock On!!

OK now that the flashback is over, here is the best deal your gonna get for a HD FM system for your car. I have one myself. Everythig can mount in the center console, and the antenna splitter fits under and behind the existing radio nicely! The price is nutz, if you bought the radio and car kits seperatly, cost is way more than this combo price!!! http://www.amazon.com/dp/product/B0019SFBKQ?tag=priuschatcom-20

wow that looks like a really good deal. From what I can tell you have to control it by the JVC controller.

That is a great option. I may get it for myself or the home.

Does anybody have experience with an HD unit that you can control with the stock JBL radio?
