Excited new owner

    So, I got my dream car last night on a whim! I happened to be browsing yesterday online and after sifting through used Hyundais and Kias, I was like "why not?" and searched for a used Prius in my area. I've only wanted one for years...

    Up popped a 2008 with 80k miles (1-owner, someone really enjoyed driving it!) for $12,995. I don't mind the "high miles" for such a young car; it is in great shape, has so many extra features I don't even know what to do with them all. Our other vehicle is a 2003 Hyundai Elantra.. we traded in a 93 Ford Tempo for a whopping $200 when we got the Prius -definitely a step up.

    I'm hoping there are some other high-mileage Prius owners around here!

    So, here's my baby! It's even the perfect color! (Dealer photo).

    Thanks everyone for the welcome. I'm kind of in shock because everything happened so quickly with finding and purchasing the car. I'm still going "we have a Prius now..." :)

    Congrats to you. Mine is a new 2010 type II & it is terrific! 54.8 on cruise control! Gas is of no consequence now. Enjoy!! LBD

    My husband made fun of me when I said I felt like I was in some sort of club now that I got my Prius.

    Little does he know..!

    @Mark57: Apparently this change is exciting. However I am an atypical Nebraskan and I have no idea what is going on! :p
