Both of my 2010 Prius vehicles have about 15K miles on them (Yokohama & Goodyear), but I think they may last another 20 to 30K more miles.

My 2008 Prius had the original Goodyear Integrity tires, which lasted to 50Kmiles! I just drove on streets & highways, but never in dirt or snow.

33k and still plenty of tread. Looks like I should get 45-50k with very even wear -- even without regular rotations.

I got about 33K on my 2010 (Yokahama). They look about half used up. I am intrigued about getting a better ride out of those affinity tires. May be swapping soon than originally planned.

I have 39K miles on my original Goodyear Integritys, with lots of tread left. I rotate front-to-back, same side every 10K miles. I expect to go over 50K easily. I've been running with 44lb psi front and rear since new.
Of course, we don't have snow here in San Diego, and very few potholes, etc.

This is my tire wear at 34,000 miles. They are holding up well.

My Prius II came with Goodyear Assurance Tires. When I test drove a Prius II at the dealership it had Yokohamas. The had another on the lot with Michilens. It seemed like each Prius they had on the lot had different tires.

Judgeless, they do look great, after 34K esp. Which tires are they, and what pressure do you run?

don't believe everything you read on the internet. Yokohama makes great tires thus Toyota put them on the Prius. I wouldn't put Firestone on anything regardless of what a prius driver said. they are cheap tires.

Not always, chances are that they submitted the lowest bid.

My 2010 Prius III came with Goodyear Assurance tires (made in Japan). I only have 2,600 miles so far, I will post later about my tires life.

42,000 miles on our Yokohama Avids, rotated every 5,000 miles, and still "OK." Sorry I don't have exact tread depth figures. I haven't reached the wear bars yet.

The car has been driven almost exclusively on highways. We purchased the car August 2009, has been from Indiana to Florida twice (once the LONG way, via the Mississippi Delta), Pittsburgh twice, and 600 miles/week of work commuting.

I full expect to need tires before winter gets serious.

Yoko Avids. roughly 16K miles and a year old. 6/32 on the front and 7/32 on the rear. We rotate them every 5K.

Ditto - just about identical mileage, tread depth and rotation intervals on the Yoko Avids.

correct me if i'm wrong, but on tire rack it said that these tires were special low rolling resistance tires. is that a real spec, or are pretty much all passenger car tires going to have that title? i would think that if it is a real difference, then using tires without it would lower the mpg.

The tire choices Toyota made were with LRR in mind. Same can be said about the Gen II Integrity tires we all hated.

Specifically, the Ecopia tire is known for it's LRR properties. I'd be curious to know which tires offered the best MPG out of the OEM choices.

At 15k I believe I was at 6/32 and 5/32 when I rotated my tires.

Most tires are slanted toward performance, meaning sticky. LRR would tend to sacrifice some of that performance for better economy. You don't want LRR if you are racing.

This is my post from the Fuel Economy Section:

Tires are Michelin Energy Saver Tires, 195 x 65 x 15, with over 22,000 miles on them. All four tires are inflated to Max Sidewall Pressure of 44 PSI (nitrogen/Costco).

Looks like they will be good for another 40,000 miles and are wearing beautifully.

We have expierence an increase of 2-3 MPG over the original Yokohama Avid tires.

These tires do roll better than any other tire I have owned and I have been driving since 1966.

I have the Goodyear, bought the car new in April. Rotated the tires at 5K, car suddenly got so noisey sounded like I'd put on studded snow tires. Dealer wouldn't do anything about it, so I went to my local tire guy and found out my rear alignment was way off. At 10K, dealer agreed about the alignment and cupped tires, and replaced all four tires after a 4 wheel alignment. Now the car is whisper quiet again.

So my tires were shot after 10K, due to bad alignment. AND, my gas mileage jumped 6 mpg now that I'm not 'dragging the rear wheels sideaways down the road' (quote from my local tire guy).
