Since they added the Prius to solo occupancy in the Carpool (HOV) lane in California ,
I was wondering what the current prices are. Rumor mill here was saying they are now all over MSRP- average $2,000 to $4,000 over ?????

    (any recent experiences???)

I am certain any of the surrounding states have probably gone up also as people will migrate there to get them before the 75,000 limit for the carpool lane is reached.

I'm waiting for a 2006 Prius from Walnut Creek Toyota and they're selling their 2005 models at MSRP with no markup. They've got one on their lot as of yesterday.

I ordered mine shortly after the carpool lane announcement came, but before Katrina. I'm paying $350 under MSRP for a BC package w/mats ($26,716). When I ordered, I was about #65 on the list. When I checked a couple weeks back, they are pretty much selling at the same prices but there are over 350 people on their list.
