    Dear PriusChat Colleagues:

    This year it seems to be my turn to start the PriusChat Fantasy Football League. A number of us played last year and got to know each other a little better and had a great time. I’m hopping efusco will join us from afar this year and that most others will be back as well.

    I have set up a free (but custom) NFL league. As it was last year its called High Voltage Running and the password is Synergy. The link below should take you directly to the site to sign up. You will need to register with NFL.com if you are not already a member.

    If you have never played before, it can be a lot of fun and a good way to make the football season even more interesting. It is also a good way to connect with some members here at PriusChat. You can spend as much or as little time with your team each week as you want. I’ve found that time spent is rarely correlated with success – but you can prove me wrong. Speaking of wining, once we have a group signed up we’ll figure out a good prize for the winner.

    Thanks for starting this... let's get a few more to sign up, this is a lot of fun...I should be an easy target being down under for the season--it's tough to follow the teams from down here.

    Sept 6 at 6 am. Its an automatic draft. Rank your players and they will be picked automatically. Check the scoring system carefully as I set this up with a few differences from a "traditional" scoring system. I'll have more on that on the NFL site once were all in.

    I have never played fantasy football ( or real football) in my life. I don't even watch football. I joined to make my sons proud. :)

    I think the "fantasy" in fantasy football is that skill/knowledge has much to do with the outcome. We welcome you Octavia. Glad you joined us.

    I bet we could have filled 10 or 12 spots.
    I don't like their new cheatsheet program. It's a PITA to rank past the top 50 and I want to make sure it takes my kicker LAST. On the old one I could just slide all the kickers down.

    One advantage to the new system is that I can still add teams (in twos) if we really have more people who want to sign up.

    So if there are more interested Prius people out there who want in, Speak up! We'll make room

    Awww...thanks, but it's just not going to happen. I'm too competitive and don't have the time to research the way I'd want to.

    Yay for Octavia, though! Now you have your "token" female!! LOL

    I hope you all have fun this year, and I hope whoever gets Favre wins the league!! :)

    With Sidney Rice out, Farve's probably not even a starter in an 8 team league.
    Rogers, Brees, Manning, Brady, Romo, Kolb, and sometimes Palmer and Shaub, are going higher in most drafts. As a Vikings fan of course, I hope he kicks nice person! But as a fantasy owner, it's a risky pick.

    I've already sat through a lecture on how "we" are going to do the draft. I love my sons! :eek:
