    Dude -

You moved to NC from a lifestyle of LA, Vegas and SF ..... ? That's like eating at Musso & Franks every night and then 'downsizing' to Burger King.

And I thought I smoked to much Weed.

There is something about the pan shape that is not comfortable over long drives. It's lilke the angled pads on the sides put too much pressure on the hip joints.

I have a beaded seat cushion that I use, now. Originally I got it to protect the fabric upholstery from my sweat after a workout...now I use it all the time because it's so comfortable. But, in fairness, the seat was never uncomfortable to me. It's *more* comfortable, now, with the beaded cushion.

The number one way to improve the comfort of the Prius seat (for us guys anyway) is to take your wallet out of your back pocket before you drive any distance.

    OK.

I too am 6 ft 3 and don't have a big problem with the seat in my '09. I have a bit of an odd shape... longer back and arms than my height would indicate. I tilt the seat back a bit and can still reach the wheel easily with the seat all the way back. I flipped the mirror to improve the view out the front but I don't really find the roofline too low.

I went on a bit of a driving/ camping holiday this summer... a few Mm in a week and worried about it not being comfortable after too many hours in one day so I took along a piece of foam to wedge in beside my knee or where ever to help with any achy bits... ended up putting it behind my lower back most of the time... no discomfort even though I was doing as many as 9 hrs a day behind the wheel and sleeping on the ground in a tent at night and I'm an old fart of 52 with a small history of back problems.
