Will my surfboard fit over my antenna, or do I need to order a "fin"?

I just dropped $800 bucks on a super nice set of Thule roof racks for the bikes and for my surfboard. My question is, once I get the racks and put my board on top, I am pretty sure my board will crunch the antenna, so do I need to order one of those fins from here?

I can't seem to find any cheaper ones, I guess I'll pay $70 for a piece of plastic if I really have to....

    How easy is installation? Thanks!

Just unscrew the OEM antenna during your trip to the beach, and save yourself $70.

Or just load the surfboard on to the side, not dead center, and your antenna will have no impact.

I have a Thule rack and use it to carry my Kayak, which is much larger than a board. Just don't center the board and you'll have no problem.

Yes, just unscrew the antenna and put it in the glove compartment. That's what I do when the canoe's on top. It'll still receive most radio stations without the antenna but I usually listen to the iPod anyway.
