I have replaced my '03 Prius windshield three times this year due to flying rocks on the freeway. It doesn't even have to be a truck or SUV. Even little sentras get me. I've searched Toyota for accessories but do not see any windshield deflectors. Are there any sources for something like that? My windshield currently has a patchwork of four more long cracks.

Did you try searching the Canadian site? I know the moustaches, I mean hood deflectors, are available for the 2004s; you might try looking there for the 2003. They help with dings on the nose, too.

How's your insurance, by the way? Any problem with multiple windshield claims?

Thanks I'll check into that. I have State Farm and they only cover two windshield replacements a year per car. So the expense is all my own.

Make sure you tell them that you are paying out of pocket. I did that because after 2 windshields on 2 different vehicles, they claimed there is now a $500 deductible on comprehensive. There is a huge difference between what I paid and what they charge the insurance company.

In my experience, and I've put hood deflectors on most of my vehicles for over 20 years, they are no help in keeping gravel from hitting the windshield.
At best, they might keep some bugs off, but I kind of doubt that too.

I put 'em on to protect the front edge of the hood a little bit, and partly for the look, too. I have one on my 2005, and it creates a small whistle at highway speeds that could be annoying to some. (I just crank the stereo.)
