I drove down a major street in Philadelphia (CitylineAve). I noticed that my speedometer display had a reading of 75mph, but I know that I could not have been going anymore that 45mph. I had occassion to notice this type of crazy reading again later on the same day- the speedometer reading was 50 mph as I was taking off at a stop light. The way that the lights are situated in most of Philadelphia would not allow enough distance for a Prius to get up to 50mph much less 75mph. I'm not sure if this has been going on for a while or if it just started. Oh yeah, we have had about five days of rainy weather here in Philly. I don't know if the wet conditons could have had something to do with these readings. If anyone has experienced this please let me know. Thanks Tracy2.
