    Hello,

I have a 2010 Prius Level III and am wondering if it is possible for me to sync my iPod touch gen 3 via bluetooth to the car to stream music?

If it is so would someone teach me how to do it please? I attempted to pair it like a phone, but I did not have any success. Thanks.

My LG vx5400 will not transfer the call list to my new Prius iv with Navigation. Anyone know why?

There are a lot of phones that will work with the car for talking, but will not transfer the call book. There is a handy website toyota.com/letstalk or something like that if you do a Google search that will tell you if your phone is compatible with transferring contacts.

I am trying to do this exact thing with the new iPod Touch (4th Gen), but cannot figure it out. I have the 2010 Prius III (no navigation system, but with bluetooth for cell phone). I tried pairing the iPod Touch, but the system kept announcing "searching" and then gave up. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Worked fine on my III, but I have the Nav. Are you entering the code on your iPod (1212 or 0000 can't recall which).

The car gives a code (something like 5355), but where/how do I enter this into the iPod Touch? iPod touch also goes into the "searching" mode...

Put the iPod into search more, it should see the Car (it says something like Multimedia) and should have place to enter the code the car gives you. It took a couple times before I got mine to connect, but it's worked great ever since.

The car does say "multimedia" and then Passcode: 5535, and the voice repeats "searching" a number of times. Meanwhile, I go into the bluetooth menu on the iPod touch and it says "discoverable" and "searching," but nothing happens after that. I've tried it about 5 times but no luck. Should I be searching under some other menu than bluetooth? Or, I wonder if simply that the non-nav Prius doesn't work with iPod touches...

I just looked at the Prius Brochure and it appears you have to have the Nav for bluetooth music streaming.

JBL AM/FM/MP3 6-disc CD... ...hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth...

DVD Nav... ...hands-free phone capability and music streaming via Bluetooth...

Quite honestly, I prefer to plug my iPod Touch into the USB Port because the Bluetooth connection just streams music, you can't control the iPod, with the USB Connection, you can scroll through songs, artists, podcasts, etc. Much more control than the BT Connection... I've also found that if I have the iPod connected via Bluetooth and I receive a call, it will not reconnect when I terminate the call. I don't have this problem when it's connected via USB... Hope this helps.

This has been fixed with the 4.1...BUT, USB sounds degrades with the new update! I hate 4.1!!!
