I just bought some of this SLLC from my Toyota dealer today and I noticed on the bottle that it says 50/50 premixed. I asked the guy at the service desk and he said it was the correct one to use. I didn't know that it was supposed to be a 50/50 dilution so I just wanted to check that this is the correct stuff to use in both the radiator and the inverter coolant loops?

Yup, thats the stuff. It is red, or pink, depending on your point of view. As long as nobody has ever swapped out your coolant with a different color then you are good to go!

In the US the price is ~US$21 per US gallon. What is the Australian price?

Also, note that since this coolant is premixed and the cost of distilled water is nominal, this is the equivalent of paying ~US$42 per US gallon for 100% coolant.

Hi Patrick. It was $18.10 (tax inc) for 2.5 Litres, which is 2/3 of a US gallon. Considering the relative price I've been paying in Australia for some other parts this price doesn't seem too bad. I actually went to a different dealer this time.

If anyone has read some of my previous posts about high cost of parts and service from my dealer (the one where I bought the car) you might remember I payed $22 for an oil filter, over $70 for four litres of WS-ATF and $650.00 for a service that was just basically filters and oil change (ouch that one was the worst).

At the new dealership I went to today I enquired about the price of oil filters and the ATF (just to see if they were any better than the previous mob) and they didn't stock the ATF but they quoted me $21.00 for the filter. So not really much better than the previous mob, and I actually gave the guy a bit of lip about dealership prices over that. I didn't think much about this complaint at the time, but just now I notice on the invoice that the guy has actually given me a 10% discount! I'm not sure if this was due to me complaining about prices or because I mentioned the "other" dealer and he probably realized that I was shopping around.

BTW. I also bought a new V-belt while I was there and that cost $45.65 (tax inc). I don’t plan to put it on for a while (I’m only at 60k miles now), but I thought it was a spare worth having.
