When I am at a full stop, such as waiting at a stoplight, and I press hard on the brake pedal, the stability control light flashes on the instrument panel. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it indicate a problem? Thanks.

it a special feature, when on a uphill you activate it by presing on the brake in the same maner so that your car dont roll backwards when you take your foot of the brake for a couple of seconds until you hit the accelerator hehehehe

yep this has came up a few times. it's Hill assist. It will hold the car in place long enough for you to take your foot off the brake and to press the gas. it prevents you from rolling backwards on hills if you use it.

It's a reminder to read the user manual. :p

Seriously, it tells you that you have invoked hill assist.

Like others have said here... it's the Hill Start Assist. You activate it by pressing the brake pedal past a little dente.
