It has been well published (Bob Wilson) that after the first bar, you have ~2 gal (1.9?). Last tank, I ran 67 miles after the blinking. Filled up at 11.0 (10.9 before second 'pull'of the pump').

Averaged 46.3 on the tank, then set separate trip, and averaged 43.1 after the blink.... It was Costco, so I trust their qty - so what gives????

This car is 4 months old...

So in theory, I should have had well less than a gallon left - yet, it appears there was around .9 gallons remaining...

    ???????

Different pump or temperature when you got gas? If I did that with a Gen II (which has the bladder) I'd be calling a friend to bring me gas! :lol

It's well too large a change to state it is temp related. But maybe someone here has some insight (Honda reference non-intentional)...

There is going to be some car to car variation on when the blink starts, probably a couple/few tenths of a gallon. Then there are driving conditions.

I have had mine start blinking at 40 miles to empty on the MFD when going around corners, etc. It normally doesn't start blinking until 20 miles to empty on the MFD. That's a 0.4 gallon variation on when it starts to blink just based on driving conditions.

I also find I can get a couple/few more tenths in after the 2nd click.
