Nice :cheer2: I hope that guy with white one with after installed LED daytime running lights comes here too, He is living somewhere west capital area too. Next time when I see him in traffic, my plan is go after him and follow to ask some questions about his installation... :D

Do you have any plans to modify car anyway or install plug in kit?

    @Dr. Mikki & AkustaVirtaa,
do you have the standard stock radio with CD player (and maybe BT commands on the steering wheel)? If yes, how do you reckon the FM radio works? Is reception good (i.e. getting signal where you would not expect to) but the reproduction of the sound is noisy (i.e. independent of signal reception)?
If you know what FM noise is, you would reckon the noise on the FM radio is not due to FM reception.
    Please let me know.
And Dr. Mikki: congrats on your fuel consumption! Unfortunately the MFD is not very accurate, so you need to add about 5-7% error (at least that is the error I calculated based on my fuelings).

AkustaVirtaa, Plugin kit sure sounds fun, as I have electricity for the car available at work and home. But those things cost like 10k€, right?

pakitt, I dont think I understand the question. The radio reception certainly is not as good as my previous car had (VW Touran). On the other hand, this is only a problem when I drive in the country side. In the city the radio has no problems.

I have BT system in the wheel, but so far I have not been able to get it working. I bought my car used and I was able to remove the old phone connection that was set up by the previous owner, but my own phone does not seem to comply. Any hints how to get this working? I have tried following the manual.

Today, my Prius was in its first yearly maintenance, 152€. I had Toyota Corolla as a replacement car. After getting used to Prius, the brand new Corolla felt like a piece of junk.

Pakitt, I don't have BT but I have stock radio and CD player. Radio reception is similar to my last Toyota. I have heard better ones, specially local radio stations is hard to hear if weather is bad or if I am behind hill or something. So I use my ipod when I'm driving to back country...

Mikki, You are right about price, so it's not smart to do it if you want to save money. I think that I will wait my conversion still about year, to see how battery prices go down.
I'm electric engineer, so soon or later my car will be full electric.. ;) Maybe it's easiest to buy new one, but let see..

I follow my consumption only from MFD, it's accuracy is fine to me..

Btw, this picture is from yesterday.. 4 liter ghost limit is closing.. :D

Yep, it is very common in here. One reason it's you don't know watching from window to outside is it AM or PM at winter...

Have you seen 24hrs wrist clocks with regular hands? I have heard that these are common in Russia.. It's nice to show it someone when they ask what time is it. :D

Very nice , when considering that the summer is long gone.

One thing that annoys me is that the liters/100km is so inaccurate measure. For example 4.1l/100km is 57.2 mpg and the next step 4.2l/100km is 55.9mpg. I mean the guys in north america have 13 steps to represent the difference when europeans only have one step.

I'd really like to have more accuracy in the MFD like 4.27l/100km so you could see a continuous change.

Ou, that’s true, I didn’t realize it before… And you are right, more digits would be nice.

About consumption, I have grill blocked, it seems to make huge difference…

Feels funny to write English to Finn.. :D:rolleyes:

Yep, I'm using insulation bought from Bauhaus Espoo. I think it is smallest size, from outer diameter somewhere near 40mm. Inner diameter really does not matter, only outer diameter.

It’s cheap, so just buy one and try how it fits…. :)

    Welcome to the "club"!!!
Please let us know your experiences in Thailand/Bangkok! It will be very interesting to know how the Prius behaves - as far as I know traffic there is quite bad...
It would be interesting to know also buy price, taxes, fuel prices, how many Priuses are there?
