    Dear Friends,

In front of the instrument cluster of the dashboard, there is a small lit window that, puts up a light that is reflected on the windshield and that, at night, is distracting.

What is the purpose of that window and light and how can the light be turned off?

    Regards to all,

    Jack Owens

The "window" is the opening that allows you to see your dashboard. The "light" is the VFD backlight that lights up the numbers on the speedometer.

There is a thread, from about a year ago, that explains where to place a piece of weatherstripping foam to block that light and eliminate that green reflection.

I've been doing more night driving, lately, and had forgotten how distracting it is...was going to find that thread, myself, but haven't done the search yet.

    Anyone got a direct link?

Make sure your dimmer thumbwheel is not turned all the way up.

Seconding that. If you turn down the brightness, it will become less apparent and you will forget about it eventually... :)
