    Unlike many other media outlets who have only had the opportunity for brief drives under controlled conditions, our writer had the opportunity to spend several days with a plug-in Prius, using his own 110-volt outlet to charge the battery as needed. He came away impressed by the car's capabilities. Basically, it worked exactly as advertised.

    The author tells: "When Toyota rolls it out for real, the electricity-only range will no doubt have been substantially lengthened." ..... hm .... ? - ok, we'll see !
