My wife would like a seat cover to protect the Driver's Seat when she comes out of the gym.:cheer2:
Something in a towel-like material, easily removable for occasional cleaning in the washing machine.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks.

I used to do that with my old car to save the leather seats. I just went to Target and got the largest bath towel available in a compatible color. Then folded one end down over the towel about 8 inches and sewed together the folded over area on each end. Then the folded area just "hooks" over the headrest. It doesn't work perfectly as it will move around so your wife will need to "adjust and tuck" the towel each time she enters the car from the gym.

    side airbag interference

I thought about installing sheepskin seat covers on the front. However, the side airbags seem to be built right into the seats. If a collision occurs, wouldn't the seat cover disrupt the proper deployment of the airbag?

I saw a sheepskin PAD on amazon that specifically indicated that this product will not interfere with side airbag deployment as it uses 2 straps to secure the pad onto the seat. Is this an accurate statement?

It works decently enough for temporary use--it doesnt fit the seat perfectly.

hi there. yes i for one also feel the need for seat covers because they are a lot easier to maintain and it's a good way of protecting your seats from a costly regular detailing.

I got one at Pep Boys, it's Terry Cloth on one side and a rubberized material on the back to prevent moisture from reaching the seat. It has an elastic band that slips over the head rest to keep it in place. It works great and does a good job of covering the entire seating surface. The tag on it says Bergan, it was only $9.99, money well spent!
