I have already programmed for ALL the doors, and trunk, to unlock when i open the drivers door, and now i am wondering if there is a way to make the instrument panel brighter than the IP light control will allow?

In the owner's manual on page 591 under Item it says Meter, navigation system, instrument panel.

under Function, the second one down says, "Sensor sensitivity for returning the brightness of the meter, navigation system and instrument panel to the original level depending on the outside brightness"
Default setting is 0....Customized setting is -2 to +2

that says to me that i can turn down the brightness two notches below the default setting, or turn UP the brightness two notches above the default setting.

for the customized door setting, i just pushed and held the unlock or panic button on the keyless electronic key for approximately 5 seconds while pushing the lock button on the key. this was on page 48 of the owners manual.

i would appreciate any help or tips ya'll have....thanks!

The dealer can change the setting. If you didn't ask about their policy during the sale contact the Sales or Service Manager. You should be able to get "a few" done free. If you are going to be a PITA they will eventually charge you.

On the V there is a dial for brightness over by the side mirror adjuster buttons. The dial probably has 4 light settings which will all automatically adjust downward when your headlights are on, and the top setting which keeps the lights at their brightest with or without your headlights.

This brightness sensitivity sensor setup tells ECU how to react to ouside light conditions change +2 is maximum, -2 minimum sensitvity. It is usefull if you have tinted windshield glass. The meter brightness is controlled by turnwheel at down left dashboard position (or up/down buttons for EU models).

Key words are "sensor sensitivity" and "returning". The maximum brightness to which it returns will be to whatever the dial by your left knee is set.
