Carbon Fiber Hood for 05 Prius?

    I got in a minor fender bender today, leaving my bumper/hood scratched and my hood pressed in below the emblem. Also, it doesn't sit just right... :( Can I get a carbon fiber hood to replace it? I think it would be cheaper to replace than to fix. Any ideas where I can find a oem hood for cheap?

    No idea. Won't save that much weight though since it's already made of aluminium and it's a small hood.

    Yeah...Oem is pretty light...I'm the kind of guy who likes to upgrade if there's reason to though...Carbon fiber hood would look sweet on my black prius...

    Word is that the OEM Aluminum Hood is lighter than the box it ships in.

    Unless you have far more money than you know what to do with, I wouldn't worry about weight on it.

    True, but the Prius isn't a favourite modding car. You might have to get a hood custom made.

    How do you know it's steel? It won't make a difference really. If anything it's safer for accidents.
