Hard to believe, but it was as much my fault as the dealership's. My wife was on the loan application (from a bank), but didn't sign the loan paperwork at the dealership, so we had to resign the financial papers. They didn't even try to change anything on me! I was watchin' them though :)

Picked up a black Prius III with floor mats and trunk mat last week.

    Paid 21,800
    Plus tax of 1,526
    Plus title 289
Plus etching 189 (couldn't get them to waive it)
    Total 23,804

Took the 0% for 60 months

Plus I won the the shareathon $500 gift card today. Think I did very well. Overall I am very satisfied with the vehicle and love driving it.

Thanks, good suggestion. I think I should be able to get $20,500 from somewhere if I hold out long enough, esp. with the end of the year coming up.

wait i meant to say 29, 041 not 20, sorry. that is still below invoice.
i paid cash and had a mini cooper trade in for $11,000
    dealer fees: $299
tax was 6% on the balance after trade.
i thought it was one heck of a deal though. i did shop at 3 other dealers before i went there prepared to haggle but it was actually a very pleasant experience...

I'm looking to purchase in the next 2 weeks. That's exactly the configuration I'm looking for. Can you tell me the name of the salesperson, phone number and the dealer you bought it from? If I get the same deal, I'll be happy.

Bought my Prius II for $22,300 + tax/title/fees. I took the 0% APR for 60 months instead of the $1500 cash back.

$1500 cash back? I thought it was 0% or $1000 cash back. Maybe the incentives are different regionally?

I got a quote from truecar which the dealer had agreed upon. Upon contacting the dealer the price changed significantly(by > 1800 dollars). Can I hold him to the true car agreed pricing?
    Thanks

a verbal agreement means crap. you need a written contract with the dealer.
