Toyota begins Prius v Tease #3 with another puzzle

    For hatchbacks and estates?? Really? (well aside from the fact that all European cars here have full cloth backing).

    It's starting to annoy me that the front seats are now plastic-backed rather than fully upholstered (not talking about the Prius but other Toyota and some Lexus models in general). Granted, the Lexus models with plastic seat backing are much niceer and softer to the touch and blend into the interior a lot better than the Toyota models.

    This is the current generation Camry. Might be a bit hard to tell but the top part of the rear of the front seat is cloth but the bottom 3/4 is plastic (including the seatback pocket which is held by elastic bands)


    This compares to the previous generation that had a fully upholstered seatback with sewn seatback pockets. Two different designs depending on whether you chose cloth or leather, with the leather-equipped model having the nicer design.

    Factory leather w/ seatback pockets. This is the "SE" version so it's the only one with a black interior.


    Also in this photos, you can see a few more things that they removed for the current generation - The rear doors no longer have pockets and you can see that in the previous generation models with leather, the door panel has a nice "curtain" or "folded" design to the leather panel on the door. In the current one, it looks just like the cloth - a flat, stretched piece of synthetic leather. No design whatsoever.

    what is the metric for getting a piece sent to you? wondering if i got one that was stolen. we had a package from fedex stolen off our porch last week. first time ever... bummer. at least the company who sent it is replacing package free. i would rather sign for stuff or go pick it up to be honest with ya. the fedex station is about a half mile from my new work location. very easy to swing by after work to get stuff.

    The metric seem to be that the people receiving the puzzle pieces are MY2010 owners. Why? go figure.
    These are not the ones that will change their ride for a MY201, thats for sure.

    Well I have a 2010 and I did not her one... now is itme or does this seems counterintuitive?

    It would seem that people who just got a car would not likely be in the market already for an upgrade ?
