got up early and did the install.....all the hints were good....thanks everyone ......the kit is great....one thing....
on the passenger light bezel, a small section of silver paint was flaking off.......i just touched it up with a silver paint marker i had in the garage....no harm....no foul...

also...my kit didn't have any nylon wire ties....

the red wire connector works fine.......use pliers first to push the metal connector through the insulation first then snap plastic cover.......

i'm now waiting for it to get dark.....:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

What HID kit did you use and did you use a relay or wire to the fog light wires provided? what size bulbs in the fog light kit?
    Thanks.

About 5 months with my fogs now (I live in southern California) and the silver paint on the foglight housing is about 40% gone. It looks like its come off in "flecks" so to those of you with new kits I suggest protecting them physically or chemically before installing. I may just steel wool the rest off.

I see by the picture that the lights seem to fit farther to the front on this kit than on the BlingLight kit you still offer. What is the difference in the two kits> Do the lights shut off with the bright lights on? Which of these kits is better to give some side light? We found that the low beams don't give enough light when driving in heavy rain conditions at night--really miss the fog/driving lights I had on my Outback for that reason. I'm going to order one set or the other after the holidays.

Finished the install last week. Total time was a good 6-7 hours. The biggest difficulty I had was poking a hole through the firewall grommet. Tried screwdriver, hanger wire, and even a chopstick and spend over 30 minutes on this one step. At one point I almost pushed the grommet out of the groove and into the engine bay which would have been disastrous since there is no room in the engine bay to reach in to push it back in.

All in all, the time was worthwhile spent. The lights are just as bright as the main lights, and I like how you can turn on the foglights while keeping the headlights off. I picked up some Lexan sheets at Home Depot. Going to make cut outs to silicone them over the lens to protect the glass. I remember having installed headlights on my Civic in the past. Both lights were completely cracked from road debris just after one highway drive. Don't want that to happen again. I can live with the Lexan cracking as they would be easy to replace instead of replacing the entire light housing.

Anyone know how to set up the fogs to turn off when the hi-beams are switched on?

That would be easy to wire with a relay (normally closed). One side connected to a high wire.

    Need some advice:

I just installed the fog lights today and the foglight is working fine, but now the freaking car won't start. I'm thinking i probably blew a fuse????

Has this happen to anyone before? and suggestion on what i should do?

    Thanks in advances.....

Sorry to hear about this. What exactly happens (e.g. is there any message on the dash)? Did you disconnect the 12v battery before you went to work on the lights?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't disconnect 12v battery, is the battery dead?

If I am understanding it correctly, you must manually shut off the fog lights when you turn on the bright lights. Is this correct? Is a car audio place better to use for installation than a good auto electric shop? My Toyota dealer won't do it--referred me to an auto electric private shop.

So with the FOB in hand and you press the power button absolutely nothing happens? No lights, no nothing?

First of all what is FOB?

the dash lights up but i don't hear the engine starting up, i usually see the green ready light but not this time. I tried jumping the battery but it's still the same. I don't think that the battery is dead?
