By "simple", I hope you are referring to something a little more basic than Hobbit's PWM controller?

Ok, so IF we have a simple way to enable the fan, that's half the battle. The other half is a way to turn the coolant loop on or off or change the mixer or however it works, without having to turn the CC on, press the temp up or down 50 times (or hold it) and then turn the CC back off.

And, you do have my permission to continue bragging about your ECM-HV CAN interceptor, but at some point you're going to need to market a box, or at least post a step-by-step DIY for those of us not conversant with the market of available CAN devices, or who are not so intimately familiar with PIDs and frames.

I'm learning, but jeez I'd rather not reinvent the wheel.
(and as a side note, I'd be satisfied with flipping a switch on the fly for ICE power - no need for fancy automatic throttle% business.)

Another possible explaniation why blocking radiator seems to stop free heater air flow...Maybe unblocked radiator air flows through radiator, engine compartment, out bottom of engine compartment, along the bottom of the car and flowing passed the hv battery exhaust air vent creates a suction at hv battery exhaust thus sucking air throuh cowl vent near the windshield and through the heater core.It sounds also that heat temperature set on hi with heater fan off leaves heater coolant pump running. Perhaps heater coolant pump speed also regulates heater cabin temperature.
