That's the reference, but it's way too many letters to fit on the plate, which is simply HYO. You'd think that would be simple enough to put together with the colour of the car, but apparently not. Most people ask "What does H Y O stand for?"

I have to admit I probably wouldn't have gotten it. I'd've spent half an hour trying to figure out where HYO is on the Periodic Table and whether the Prius incorporated some new miracle element synthesized in a Toyota laboratory.

For my username I used the first and last letters of my given name.

Nervous about putting name on a chat site, so used Prius and the 101 from the basic introductory class numbers used in college. Indicates that I know how to drive but wanted to learn about the Prius....

That was me 10.5 years ago. Of course, the internet was quite different back then. But I'm thinking you'll find it just as welcoming now, unlike the impression which led to the nervousness. There are many here simply wanting to help and share their own experiences.

My handle is from one of my e-mail addresses dustoff003
DUSTOFF was a call sign given to a U.S. Army helicopter medical evacuation company in Viet-Nam. It has suck and is still used today by Army MEDEVAC helicopters. I was a helicopter mechanic/crewchief while in the Army and the last three numbers of my helicopter's tail number was 003. Hence dustoff003.

The initials of my first and middle names. 09 is what I usually put behind my forum/chat handles.

I wanted darwin, but it was taken when I signed up. So I altered it a bit with another name.

I kept trying different call names that I have used in the past but they were all taken. I started trying different versions of my first and middle initials and last name. These were already taken ! So I ended up with a 5 on the end and found one that was not taken.

Not very creative but it works.

One might guess that I am into trains, but you would be wrong. It's just my first two initials, followed by 'xing' (crossing). Hey, it works for me...
