I managed to puncture the plastic grill and filter that is under the windshield and wipers on the passenger side (2010 Prius). I've been looking for a replacement but I have no idea what it's called. I found this thread which seems to describe what it is in the 2nd post: http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-prius-main-forum/83822-where-exactly-air-intake-cabin.html Do you guys know what this part is or have a part #?

    Thanks!

Edit: found a pic from a Gen II

Puncture? It is just a fairing to keep leaves and junk out of the gutter. I can't imagine the damage being that bad.

The hole is about the size of a US quarter. I ran my ice scraper into it this morning cleaning the ice off the windshield.

I wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps cover the hole up with some ducktape. :)

Is the hole in the picture?

The picture above is just something I found online. I'll post a picture of my actual car sometime later today.

Or smooth it out and put a wire screen over it...

Given all the venting on that piece, I wouldn't worry about. Or you could cover it with a piece of black electrical tape.

wiper cowl grille seems to be the part description. Not sure of part #, but I would sure try to fasten a cover over it and live with it if not too ugly. It needs to be screened to keep rodents and leaves etc out.

You might be able to find a snap in plastic plug cover at Home Depot or Lowes. Just trim or drill the hole to the same size.
