Ohhh! That is quite nice! However.. for just a piece of plastic that came out of a mold, that's a bit much in my opinion. If it was more like 25.00 I might consider it. 65.00... no way.

EDIT: not to mention the 25.00 shipping.

Yeah, but it would make that space so useful...right now, it is just a vast blank space for me. I am afraid to put anything big in there because then it may just bounce right out of the space and log behind the brake pedal or something! At least with this, you can divide the space up for more useful storage.

It is killing me to see that there is something overseas...yet so expensive!! :(

Why do you need a tray for a tray...? Am I missing something? (that cupholder is shallow. Remember.. japanese-sized water bottles, not NA sized)

Another issue is color -- how well their color(s) match the three interior colors we get to choose from. In the past, with accessories for other cars, I returned more than one or two items due to incorrect color shade.

So it just divides the large tray into a small tray and 2 cup holders.? $65 is a lot for that. I think I will pass.

Looks like an opportunity for someone in the U.S!
Someone needs to market a product and get it out there cheaper.

Good point about color matching. Why doesn't the US models have this as an accessory? Oh well.

I'm reasonably confident that, as with the mudflaps, it will soon show up in our Shop for purchase at a much lower price.

Or just go to the container store and buy yourself a few drawer dividers and put a little velcro on the bottom and viola, trays! I put one is as a sun glass holder because mine wouldn't fit in the time one in the roof.

There's another thread about this same item. It's about $12 (US)... but of course the shipping from japan would increase the price greatly. I'd agree that $65 is way too pricey though.

I think the item is removed from the site. It's not there on the link anymore.

Happy to have acquired a Carmate JDM console tray for $37.75 shipped from Japan to the states off of eBay. The sellers name is doraemonn_5689 and he shipped it out to me crazy fast.

Two things I was worried about:

    1) Color: I have misty gray interior (I very light "space aged" gray) so it was natural that I purchased the "gray" version of this tray. I kind of knew it would be a dark gray when it arrived but was a little unsure how it would look with the misty gray. I'm happy to say it flows well with my interior and accents the two tone look.

    2) Functionality: Ok, when you really think about it, its just a piece of plastic, however having said that, my other ride is Toyota Sienna and it has cup holders galore! So jumping into our Prius with only 4, I felt a little gipped by Toyota. This tray gives me the option to add another two cup holders making it a total of 6. The cup holders are a bit shallow and do not do a good job of "hugging" tall narrow water bottles, but having said that, I plan to modify the cup holders with "death grips" like the ones I have on my Sienna.

My main concern in regards to how this tray functions was if a tall standard US water bottle could clear under the bridge area. Happy to say it clears fine with a little extra headroom above the bottle :)! The pocket is a nice little bonus that comes with a pad. I tossed in my air freshener, iPhone, charging cable, and other junk in there already and it's all nice and tidy. The tray does not block the cig lighter port area and the location of the tray is perfect for easy access to my iPhone's charging cable. I haven't tried this yet but I'm sure I could also use the cup holders to hold a couple of iPhones if I wanted to.

Overall, I really love this tray! While it's a bit over my budget for a piece of molded plastic, I'm happy to have this tray accessory for those extra long family trips when we need it. I'm sure someone could make a little $ producing an accessory similar to this over here in the states! :usa::wof:
