Glad to be able to say I've ordered my new Prius Dynamic (can't make sense of all these different modelnumbers you guys use on this site?). I've spiced it up with a sunroof and leather interior. Unfortunately, by adding the sunroof, the 17" alloys were no longer an option.

I think I might add 17" (or even 19"??) alloys later, I've been snooping around on : < I can't post links yet, check the trackback section for the links..>

Furthermore, I will eventually add the sharkfin antenna from the Prius Shop. Also, I'm anxious to find out what possibilities the built-in screen will offer. I found this : < I can't post links yet, check the trackback section for the links..> to port any video source to the screen. I might hook it up to a small linux machine for surfing the web, catching email, YouTube and so on. Dream functionality would be full touch-screen integration with my android phone.. I know my electronics, nevertheless I think that might turn out to be a mission impossible.

Looking forward to many happy km's.

Oh yeah, one thing. I ordered mine in december.. It will take to week 17 (mid april) to the dealer.. sheeesh!!

    Congrats and welcome to PriusChat!

Haha, the model numbers used are for the American market (new for this generation of Prius). Your profile is setup correctly with no model and the Dynamic "package" for your country.

It's the same everywhere else - If you want the solar roof, you can't get the 17" alloys.

Welcome to PriusChat. I'm sure you'll love the sunroof and leather interior. The North American models use roman numerals II thru V. Sounds like you have the equivilant of a Prius IV or V. More importantly, you're ordering a fantastic car!

Thanks! I agree on the "fantastic" bit :).. too bad they take such a long time to produce. Worth the wait, though. I think the alloys will be a "future add on", as will the Linux machine ;). I've been browsing the web for all cool video's and such.. Very exciting!

Expect pictures in april / may ...

Prior to the introduction of the Prius v (for versatile) wagon, Toyota changed away from the Roman numerals to spelling out the numbers (e.g. Two, Three, etc.).

Where is a Netherlands-bound Prius produced? If Japan, this buyer may not see his for a while, in light of the Japanese disaster. :(

Actually, as my post above states; Mine will arrive early. Probably this month. Dealer informes me that the situation in Japan probably will have it's consequenses. Factories are closed now, that sets them back about 40.000 cars per day..

It will affect the supply chain, yes. So dealer stock will be limited to what they have at the dealership and what each region (in each country) has stocked in their distribution centres. Don't forget that even if the factories are operational, there's still the issue of whether the suppliers' factories are operational as well.

Some U.S. Japanese assembly plants are already taking a supplier hit where certain suppliers are down. The Japanese disaster is beginning to ripple throughout the globe.

Your car must have made the boat before the disaster :)

Enjoy your car when it comes
