From watching the instructional video, I believe I would anchor down the middle section of the bumbper first.... then try to stretch it to the sides curves?
I don't have the headlight washers so in a way I've luck out.

A hard rain will chip the paint? ow! what's in a hard rain?

Just keep your expectations in balance. Given my experience? I now carry a spray bottle and a small microfiber towel in my vehicle. If I notice "bird droppings"...anywhere..I remove A.S.A.P.. I'm even MORE dilligent and attentive to the clearbra areas...because if the acid from bird dropping gets on the clearbra it will cloud..and etch into the clearbra...and every experience is probably unique..but it can be a real pain to remove.

Also if you have clearbra..Turtle Wax ICE is a good product. It's non-chalky residue..clear nature makes working around the line of the clearbra less problematic.

The V's headlight washer blisters pop off.
