We have the very highly rated Nautilus 3-in-1 car seat in our Prius. Fits just fine, no issues.

The Britax Frontier 85 has a great fit for our Prius and is rated as one of the best car seats on the market. It allows you to have your child in a 5-point harness for up to 80 lbs! We have it in the "onyx" color which goes great with the grey leather interior. If I knew how to post pics on here I would post pics of my back seat. We have two Frontier 85's - one for my 4 year old and another for my 2 year old (of course they are adjusted accordingly for each of their sizes....

Here is a link to what it looks like:

If you're worried that your baby may out grow in short period of time, then choosing Cosco convertible versions. Its a wise choice

I'd just use your current car seat for about a year until it's time for a booster seat, as he'll outgrow the car seat rather soon. You can pick a nice booster seat instead. Graco Turbobooster (which can be converted into backless later) works well in the Prius. The "Let's Go" pattern goes nicely with Misty Gray.

I have two kids, both with the Nautilus. The grey carseat matches the Prius grey interior nicely. They fit fine, one on each side, but I don't think I could squeeze another carseat between them.

What's wrong with the carseat you have?

Can't go wrong with a car seat from Brittax. Might want to look into the Sunshine Radian car seat line if you want a "thin" but strong car seat. Allows for 3 people in the back of the Prius.

Yeah you're right. For a child who has outgrown the regular childrens car seats, it will then need to switch to a child booster car seat. This will happen at different times depending on the size of the baby, but most children will move to booster seats at around the age of four.

Thank you, i think Britax is a good one, it should be nice with my car and safety for my son too. And i will upgrade it into a booster later.
