Possible to Non-Destructively Open Radio / Stereo / Multi CD Changer System?

I have a 2006 Prius with the default stereo system with 6 CD changer. It recently became jammed.

I found instructions on how to remove the stereo, but is it possible to actually remove the CDs without destroying the stereo? In many systems this isn't possible, and I would be annoyed if I removed the nav system to get at it and found that I couldn't fix it without breaking the unit.

 

Answer: Yes. I got lucky, though. Supposedly 9 out of 10 times, it doesn't work.
