    It's the batteries they should be replacing instead of the ECU reflash which drops the fuel economy ;)

    Well, once again I'm happy that I bought a Toyota hybrid even if all my previous non-hybrid cars were Hondas and I was looking into it at first. :p

    It converts to different voltage. Inverter changes from AC to DC or vice versa.

    Prius' DC-to-DC converts 201.6V HV battery down to 12V for the lead acid and powering accessories. Spark plugs uses the 12V so that explains why the gas engine stalled.
