I really like the el' cheapo electrical knockout box solution (.97cents @Lowes) as center caps and I made a set about a month ago with some old metallic spray paint I had sitting on the shelf:

But I wanted to "kick it up a notch". So, I had a set of toyo logos made. I then repainted the knockouts with Dupli-color's silver wheel paint which was a MUCH better match, applied the vinyl logos and finally clear coated it all to hopefully lengthen their lifespan. I really like the results.

Nice DIY center caps. I'm a DIY kind of guy, but I splurged for the real center caps. It's worth the money since they look nicer and matching well.

Hey, Missourian! I used to hail from Branson!....

I just mowed mine for about the 50th time this winter. It was easily over about 15" tall. It just killed my mower OVER and OVER. I had just done it a week before. I could easily do it every 3 days, if I had the time. I'd LOVE to send some of my green grass and spread it around! lol

Those look nice! I'm curious as to where you had the logos made and what they cost? I wonder how they'd look if they were color matched to the vehicle? Granted that wouldn't work so well with a silver or white Prius, but it mich look good with other colors... Thanks...

I've been meaning to mention this since I first saw the electrical plugs mentioned. In time, with contact with water, especially salt water or up North salt and water/snow the caps will rust out and may damage the wheels due to galvanic action between two dissimilar metals. Just a heads up.

Paul, I had the same thoughts as you while trying to decide before ordering. I came real close to ordering gold but thought that a) it might not match well with my sandy beach metallic and b) gold might not show up well on a silver background. For what they cost ($8 shipped), I should have just bought two sets to compare but since I clear coated them for protection that's water under the bridge now.....

I got them from an ebay vendor and specified a maximum of 35mm width as the longest/widest point.

Thanks! I have the eBay center caps, but I am thinking of other applications. Do you mind sharing the name of the eBay seller? I can think of a lot of uses for these little jewels!
