My tint guy didnt tint the two smal window in the front. He says' his tools wouldnt fit to work on those. He also didnt tint the small window in the hatchback because' he said it has factory tint and they dont touch those. Is he for real? or is he just lazy?

    he's lazy... <_<

i'd have someone else tint the windows he left behind, then have the new person check on the job the first guy did. if it's crap, demand your money back.

but definitely spread the word that this guy doesn't want repeat business...

Your guy is just lazy. All of my windows are tinted and I have a windshield tint strip too.

Your guy does perhaps sound lazy, but I wasn't planning on tinting that area underneath the spoiler, if thats where you mean. It is already tinted much darker than the main hatch window, and I remember others saying that they only tinted the upper, main window, and liked how it made the two windows look much closed in color/shading. I can't imagine that much/any damaging rays can come in at that angle anyway.

I knew it!!! Dont go to Black Diamond Tint at Valencia Cali.

When i first called him, the guy gave me an attitude over the phone saying that it will take them at least 4 hours to install a tint on a prius. A week later, hoping he has forgotten that phone conversation, I finally went in the shop to get my tint. I told them i already paid for it in the dealership(250 bucks). He then said he will only tint the rear and back windows...no tint in the front because' that's illegal and the dealership wont pay for those. I asked him if he can do a very light tint in the front...he said NO! unless i pay an extra 75, then he will tint it with however dark i want it. So there you go...i cough up another 75 since i'm already there..but i was already pissed.

When I got my car, i finally drove off..then i noticed they didnt tint the two front windows and the small rear window. I called him up and thats what he told me. Unbelievable service at this place.

that might be true, but at least tell me upfront that they're not gonna tint those areas. I was under the impression when we agreed to tint with the shade i want "all the way around" that he will work on all windows, especially with the price i paid. They should've done the work, and let me decide whether i want it later or not, since I can easily remove it. Now if if i do want it i have to pay to get it installed.

Just me, but I think I would be paying the dealership a very nasty visit. If you paid for it, and they sent you there, they should be liable for the outcome and that you are happy with the work., and especially the way you were treated!
    Seriously! B)

I had the rear hatch tinted both windows 20% the rear doors and small windows also 20% the front doors done in 35% and I left the front windshield and front two little windows untinted as the winshield had the factory tint there already. Even with the ivory int its hard to see in but easy to see out & the a/c cools off faster....

DO NOT USE Gyla river tint it will fade!

I used "Lumar Solar Film" has a lifetime warr on fading/cracking & it only cost me $125 w/LEO discount..

I did my 04 myself and then paid a professional to do my 06. All the windows except the front and lower rear window (which is already tinted by Toyota). The right and left front windows are UV only and he did a great job. Anyone in San Diego should look into this because of the UV exposure.

I have a bit of advice that has served me well:

Ask your local dealer who they use to tint the vehicle, and then go DIRECTLY to that tinter. The dealer takes a cut for doing nothing but the referral! It is worth money to speak directly to the person doing the tint... and in my case I saved about $200 by going directly to the source. My local tint guy has done five cars for me now, and he is fantastic! The dealer wants $400, and I have it done for $200 at the same place - but I get it done to my specifications.

Now... here in CA it is illegal to have the fronts tinted, so I do leave those with the factory (very light!) tint. The rear hatch I had done with 35%, and then the lower part I had done with 50% and while the color is still different, the amount of tint matches up VERY nicely. I had the lower one done just to increase the privacy/security of the stuff in the cargo area.

I just can't own a car without tint any more!

Darell, your silver looks great with the tint and badges removed. I have been reading about your mods lately and I am in awe. So far I have only added chrome vavle extenders.

I'm planning to get mine tinted soon at Mr. Tint in Santa Clara. They've done my other two cars and I have been fairly satisfied (really depends on who tints the car). Planning to tint all windows (minus windshield of course), with 35% grade. Anyone else know of good quality tint shops in the Southbay that I can possibly try?

Will a ViewGuard Anti-Glare Privacy Filter keep people from looking at my display in the airport?
    Thanks
