Is Prius actually a "gay" car?

    Wow lol... I never thought this poll would create such a response/controversy. For the person who asked, the only car that my gay friends and I joke about is the Civic. I think 80% of the gay population in NC must drive some sort of Civic, there are SO many.

    As a whole, I would say the gay population is more environmentally conscious (and statistically we have a much higher expendable income), which leads me to believe the Prius could be the car of choice for many homo's, (/waves hand.) It is stupid to think that a car would be "gay", but as someone else pointed out, San Francisco is also very "gay." We seem to choose something and "clump" to it.

    I looked under the bumper and all I could see was a tailpipe. Is that any indication? Prius seems to get along with all the other cars just fine - no hanky panky or anything like that...

    I know my old '02 (in that lovey lavender tinged blue moon pearl) wasn't gay. She didn't seem to like it at all when her rear end was fondled :blink: first by a Mustang and later by a Chevy.

    Why do so many of us care about this question???

    Because it truly is a new day, and this is living proof. Few are spooked, or horrified, or disgusted...and I revel in that as much as I did when we linked arms and sang Kum-Ba-Yah in 1970.

    Dang, freedom is sweet. But then the framework of a mostly enlightened "community" such as we have here has a lot to do with that.

    Really, you're seriously mental to even THINK of posting this poll. I'm a very tolerant person, but to have someone question my sexuality because of the car I drive is beyond my tolerance.

    I don't even want to hear your dumb rationale for this post. Just go away.

    Guess I'll post my own poll. Is the Prius really a WASP, Jewish, Muslim, Catholic, Hindu, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, White Collar, Blue Collar, Liberal, Conservative car?

    I keep seeing more and more prius's.. so my medical answer is "no" the prius is not gay. Gays cannot reproduce!....

    It is a little bizarre to me that concrete objects would be considered 'gay' or 'straight'. A car is just a car - although I love the Prius.

    I would assume the poll (I think there was one) about political persuasion would have some association with Prius ownership, but not sexual orientation.

    I voted no, any way (but this is not really a vote, is it...)
