How many Prii do you see on your commute?

I see too many to count, especially while driving in the Santa Monica area.

But at my office parking lot, there 4 Priuses on my floor. One dark blue (mine), one silver, one white, one black and one silver. No duplicate color, yet.

I usually see around 4 or 5, one morning earlier in the week there were 3 of us in a row.

 

I know of at least 2 here in New Ulm. A pretty blue Gen-II caught up to me over at the stoplight. We each seemed more intrigued with the other's Prius than with one another. If forced to choose, I'd say the Gen-II driver was the more responsible one, cause suddenly I felt like racing. I fiercely mashed down on the Eco button to switch into Normal mode while waiting for the light to turn green, and when it did, I accelerated all the way into the middle of the power bar. I left that Gen-II in the DUST.

...and I bet they were laughing about how their MPG is higher than yours.

Not too many here in redneck East Texas; almost every vehicle is a pick-up or suv. Many commutes don't see any Prii, every now and then will see 2 or 3. My other car is a Honda Insight, and I've seen only 2 others since I bought it on Dec 4, and that's with appx 4000 miles of driving.

 

Instead of "slugbug" we play "slug Prius". I see about 8-10 a day here in Seattle. What a bunch of hippies

I see allot of Prii driving here on Oahu. This morring I snapped a picture if two Gen. 2's in front of me.

 

Too many to count, 1st - 3rd Gen's. Plenty of other Hybrids as well (Highlander, Escape, Insight, etc).

This area is dominated by an Ivy League College and a world class medical center so it's prime demo.

 

I am suddenly seeing more in suburban Atlanta. I pulled up to a light one morning and there were 3 of us sitting there in Blizzard Pearls. Seems like more on the road around here in the last month or so. Time to bring out the old South Park bit on the Prius "smug alert" because I am feeling pretty darn smug driving around in my Prius with the gas prices going up.

 

Time to think about making yours distinct.

 

I don't commute, but here in our community of 80,000 old folks, you are almost never out of sight of a Prius.

 

Even in the middle of Indiana there are a lot of Prius cars on the road. Just tonight I parked in front of my favorite restaurant. There was a 2010 Prius in front of me and a 2009 behind. I drive a 2010 Prius.

 

hey i'm in central indiana (sort of).

i don't see any on the commute, but at work my buddy has a gen 3 and there's a gen 2 in the parking lot but not sure who's it is. here's a pic of me and gen 2.

i did see a rare gen 1 sitting in the middle of this incredibly small town. but never again, so i think it was passing through. i stopped to take a pic.

Quite a few. In my neighborhood, which is in the inner city of Houston, there a 4-5 around my block. But I'm the only one with a V with the cool wheels! Interestingly, most are silver and white.

 

You are so right! I at least need to get a better license plate frame than the one the dealer stuck on there.

 

So many here in northern Va it is hard to count them. In a 16 mile commute I probably see at least 30 of all types. Several gen I's every day, and they are all probably the same ones daily, but seeing a lot more gen III every week.
Lots of Ford Fusions too.

 

On my suburb (30 miles south of Seattle) commute which is around 15 miles, I usually see about 5. They prii are starting to hit the suburbs, but not nearly as fast as in Seattle. Usually when I drive around seattle, I see around 15-20 of them, which is pretty cool. The taxi drivers in Seattle are in the process of converting all of their fleet to prii. A couple years ago, I did not see very many on the road at all. Probably in a couple of years, there will be a lot more prii on the road.
