In my quest to maximize handling while maintaining fuel efficiency, an alternative to getting larger but heavier wheels is to try 5-10mm spacers. The spacers would widen the stance of my car (equivalent to 200 or 205 mm wide tires), while allowing me to use the stock Touring wheels. ...What do you all think? Would the change be worth the hassle? Also, what would the change in offset (in theory, at least), do to the handling and wear on the tires?

Just installed Ichiba Version 2, 15mm spacers ONLY at the rear of my 2009 Touring ... looks and feels great! Still have room in rear wells to go with 205/55-16 tires too. Rears line up nicely with the fronts now, just inside the fender edge. Get the BT Strut Tower Brace and BT Stiffening Plate too. All of these mods combined totally change the handling/feel of the car!
