    Hello All:

My first post, but I have been lurking for a month or so.

I am ready to Lease a New Prius, and I'm getting some Lease pricing (Dealers in Eastern PA, and Northern New Jersey, and they seem like the numbers are like $100 per month too high. $466/month $0 down 36mo/36K for a Pkg III. I am driving an Infiniti (15.5MPG) right now and could just about get one of those for pricing in that range.
I am thinking due to the $3.55 per gallon gas, dealers a padding their numbers.

I just want to VENT a little, but the payments don't make sense. Yes, I could cut my gas bill by 2/3, but it still doesn't justify the extra dollars on the Prius.
My gas bill now is about $120 per month. I don't put on a ton of mileage.

Maybe I just didn't find the right dealers. Also it appears the supply in our area is very low right now. Most dealers only have 5 or 10 cars.

I would really like to get a Pkg IV for about $330/month $0 down. Is that possible??

    Thanks.

does seem a little high. what is the msrp? i think if you look thru some of the threads here, it is possible. but it might depend on what part of the country. all the best!

Yes, I am using Dianne's numbers as a guideline.
MSRP was $25,010 for a base Pkg III . I will continue my search.

It's hard to use my #'s to compare. Southern CA rates are very aggressive right now, as are prices for the cars.

I predict I will be doing a lot of out of state leases soon. I also predict Prius at MSRP again very soon! And, some dealerships will start with the markup crap again!

The ads on TV (here in Cleveland) have been for 2010's for $229/month. That's probably a II, but nonetheless...... it might be worth checking in to.

I did spend some time today sending out Internet requests and it looks like I am able to cut $100 of my previous numbers. More like $350/mo for a Pkg IV, Base, No Nav. Getting happier.

Dealers are back at MSRP in my area for 2010's and 2011's. They were discounting off MSRP, but stopped that a few days ago.

You could buy one for a payment less than that and be better off after 3 years of payments. That seems really high.

I bought a 2010 II with 0 down, payments of $405.00 x 60. Even with todays market, I would think you could buy a III for the payment you quoted.

The 2010 has different incentives and in Florida is sold out. The 2011 mobey factor is .00124 with a 59% redidual. So far this is the best deal I have been quoted based on the national advertised SE Toyota finance. I might wait until all the gas problem ends which I do not think it can be that bad. Thanks for your comments.
