I want to purchase a Prius V and found a 2010 Prius V Demo in Blizzard Pearl with all the bells and whistles (loaded) with 6200 miles for $32k. Is this a good deal? What would you do? Need to make a decision Monday so any help is appreciated.

how much is the new one? i prefer new if i can afford it. or if the used is a big savings and i am positive about the history including the person who owned it. but that's just me. all the best!

I just bought a 2011 II. the new safety rating is better on side crash and for frontal crash for the driver for the 2011. they say don't compare but i wonder if it is better because the engineered the 2011 a little different to improve the crash rating. the 32K is sticker? I looked at a buying guide and it stated that $59 above sticker is a good price. the supply is short now due to earthquake/ports/transportation issue. just my thoughts. if you like the integrated nav and phone great. if safety is top then review SafeCar . gov
hope this helps. oh i paid sticker, no markup, that is about as good as it gets I think right now for these vehicles. good luck

I bought my 2010 V 4 weeks ago for $30,505.. Sticker was over $34k, but that was before the disaster in Japan.

Thanks all. I am going for the 2010 V demo loaded. It's like it's never been driven and I can get 0.9% financing which is a bonus. Picking it up tomorrow!!

I have purchased many demos and never had a problem. The thing about a demo is they are normally driven by a manager, so if there are any problems, they are normally taken care of immediately beings the car is at the dealership all day long. Essentially, someone high up in the dealership has already worked out the buds for you! Congrats and enjoy!

Another advantage for buying the demo is that the dealer has already fixed any problems during the demo phase. I bought mine as a demo, and I have no regrets.

Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to PriusChat. Read the owner's manual as you have lots of technology on your new car.
