After owned my 2010 Prius for 1 year and 3 months, I found white spots inside the glass of the LCD dashboard. The white spots is growing bigger, and I am not able to clean it because it is inside the dashboard. Today, I dropped off my prius to dealership and will need to wait until Monday for them to check it out. Does anyone have the same situation?

Searched this forum, many owners replied to another post and have the same situation. The white spots are fungi, and Toyota did not seal the display. If you are living in a high humidity area, you may have this same situation soon or later.

Let us know how your dealer handles your problem in terms of fixing, sealing and cost. Thanks.

got my prius back with warranty covered. The dealer replaced 2 parts indicated that there was a discolored of plastic. Will you believe it is caused by discoloration? I don't because few small spots started together and grew bigger.
Within 15 months of a brand new car, I went dealer for brake program recall and dashboard plastic replacement, now I am anxiety about what if after the warranty period.

Are you sure it is fungus? I read also that it could just be condensation?

I don't know what is it. The dealer said this is not moisture, and cannot wipe it out. Something eat into the plastic. anyone knows?

OK well you can buy a UVC sanitizer light wand, and shine that on the screen periodically.

Don't do it for longer than a minute & protect your hand and eyes while do so.
