i will be putting new tires on all 4 before i go on a trip this summer but for now i'm just going to get a decent used one for the front left.

i've been through salvage (level 3) inspection 20-30 times...they mainly just check that your lights work, and that the windshield isn't cracked, they claim to check other things but from my experience they don't.

i have about 6150 into it with plates but without tires. about 8hrs.

well i forgot to update this....

i took it though level 3 inspection, it passed of course. got it all plated and insured, got new tires the next day.

i've put so many miles on it already, i had to do an oil change lol! i hope it enjoyed it brief time down as a wreck because that is all over. i switched to full synthetic oil, and a top grade oil filter for the prius.

so far, i have noticed that, the ABS sensor ring was damaged in the wreck, due to this, almost everytime you hit the brakes, the traction control light comes on for a moment and it brakes "oddly".... and over 65mph the abs light comes on. so this is something i intend to fix soon. also around 65mph there is a noise (sounds like a wheel bearing), i assume it to be the FR bearing where the wreck damage was....so i'm going to replace that before i take it cross country.

otherwise...is it just me or does the interior seem to stain REALLY easily?

i still need to secure the steering wheel air bag flaps....as the glue did not hold (the wife ruined that the first time she drove it and slammed her hand in to it to hit the horn...great)

oh and i've been called a fag, homo, or queer 4 times now since i started driving it....is this a common occurrence? because i'm about ready to note license plates and run them over with my 6x6.

well 2 days ago i got the triangle of doom... pulled over to a P0A93 code...hv inverter pump. so i called the dealer and got them to honor the tsb/warranty work (even though the car is salvage) and they put a new hv inverter pump in. I'm happy... even more happy that it happened while i was in town!

the tan one pictured has the top bows in the bed (but no canvas), it has the drop side bed (so it can turn in to a flatbed), it has the multifuel turbo engine (diesel prefered but it'll run on gas, old gas, kerosene, alcoholic beverages, old oil, etc......anything that burns), 5spd tranny. only has 3200 original miles on it...it's pretty nice aside from the obvious damage to the left fender.

Nice. I never drove one but I rode in the back of a bunch of them. Yeah, those things will run on anything. I believe if you drink enough beer and pee in it it'll crank!:)
