Recently after getting the car back from valet parking, the smart key fob doesn't work anymore remotely. It no longer locks/unlocks the door, start the car if the fob is nearby. I see the flashing light with the key on the dash. If i insert the fob into the fob slot then the car starts.

Please help, wife is DEMANDING answers.

    Thanks.

Hope I can post a new question here-
my fob works in the afternoon, but not in the morning....
in the morning- can't lock or unlock the doors when the fob is in my hand. Can't start the car without the fob being in the dash... I drive to work, and the fob is still not talking to the car, nor are the car doors locking with the outside door button.....yet a couple of hours later...all is working fine.
I haven't replaced the fob batteries in either of my fobs since purchase in 7/06. That is hopefully the problem...but why does everything work as expected later in the day?
thanks for any help. I will replace the fob batteries tomorrow and see what happens.

Batteries work better when warm. Yours are marginal, so change them.
