I am looking to purchase a used prius and become part of the prius group. I am curious as to the mileage that people are getting on their prius before it becomes to a point of needing a trade in. the one that i am looking at has 80,000 on it and it is a 2007. any suggestions? thanks!

Most everyone here at PriusChat feels that a Prius shouldn't have any major problems during the first 100,000 - 150,000 miles. I'm certainly planning on keeping my Prius for 200K miles, if I live that long.

If you find one, this makes an assumption the original owner took care of the car. Before buying, take the car to a Toyota dealer for an inspection. With any major purchase, perform due diligence.

Best wishes searching for your perfect car.

I just bought a 2007 with 80k on it. Getting about 53 MPG.

I'm in the same boat as you. I think 80,000 is nothing to worry about. As long as it was properly maintained.
